In this course, students are taught Ultrasonic scaling basics, tooth morphology and anatomy of the oral cavity as they relate to the use of an ultrasonic scaler in cement removal of orthodontically banded teeth, armamentarium and equipment use and care; prinicples of cement removal from orthodontically banded teeth; and infection control protocols.
